West Point -Wendie Rochelle Shasteen, 40, died following a horseback riding accident Friday, June 8, 2012.
Born May 27, 1972 in Salem, she was a daughter of Tawnya Rochelle Shasteen and John Knepper.
A life-long area resident, she was a homemaker.
She was a graduate of Beaver Local High School and Kent State University and attended the Destiny House in Calcutta.
Survivors include her mother of St. Cloud, FL, her father of Calcutta, 3 children: Kathleen , Tommy, and Dallas Shasteen all of West Point; a brother Ryan Knepper of Lisbon; an aunt Shirley Brenneman of St. Cloud, FL; and an uncle Farnum Shasteen of Daytona Beach, FL; her paternal grandmother Tiny Knepper and a granddaughter Nevaeh Shasteen.
Her aunt Delores Shasteen is deceased.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 Wednesday at the Destiny House 49345 Calcutta Smith Ferry Road, Calcutta. Calling hours are 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday in the church.
