Hanoverton - Steven Wayne Marshall, age64, passed away at his home Tuesday, July 28, 2026 surrounded by his loving family following a 6 month battle with cancer.
He was born October 7, 1961 in Salem, Ohio to Paul L. and Betty L. (Courtwright) Marshall.
Steve was a “jack-of-all-trades” working many years in construction and truck driving. He recently enjoyed working for Plibrico in Salem with his son, Paul. He was a talented carpenter who could build just about anything from houses to bookshelves. He greatly enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was known to enjoy sitting on his porch and watching a good thunderstorm or sunset. Everyone who knew Steve grieved with him when his life was turned upside down with the passing of his beloved wife, Rena (Lenaras) Marshall on December 30, 2020 during the Covid pandemic.
He is survived by his parents, Paul & Betty, his children Christina and husband Christopher Fortner and Paul and wife Aimee Marshall; five grandchildren: Dominick, Dylen, Atley, Kaydan, and Karter; and his sisters Sandra (Jerry) Jones and Cathy Bonko.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date by the family to honor the lives of Steve & Rena.
Services have been entrusted to the Weber Funeral Home.
