Lisbon -Sandra (Sandy) L. Bryan, 51, of SR 517 passed away at 4:14 PM Friday, April 3, 2009 at Salem Community Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 21, 1958 in Akron, she was the daughter of Garnet (Bell) Fuson and the late William Fuson.
She was a kind-hearted IRA worker at the Columbiana County Counseling Center where she loved to help her clients and co-owned Lisbon Lock and Safe with her husband.
A 1976 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, She worked as an air traffic controller in the US Army, serving in Germany. She was a faithful member of the Lisbon Community Church , was a Sunday School Teacher, and volunteered at the Way Station.
Besides her mother of Lisbon, she is survived by her husband, Keith R. Bryan, whom she married July 20, 1990; her children, to whom she was a loving mother: William D. Franz of Iowa, Christine M. Franz of Tampa, FL, Scott M. Bryan of Lisbon, and Katey R. Bryan at home; a brother, George Fuson of Portland, OR; and 3 grandchildren: Jazmine, Damian, and Reagan.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Lisbon Community Church with Pastor Jay Radman officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 PM Tuesday at the church and will gather there for fellowship following the service.
