Salem -Samuel John Campanelli, 88, formerly of Lisbon died at 11:30 AM Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Essex of Salem II.



Born March 31, 1921 in Alliance, he was a son of the late Leonard John and Josephine (Coca) Campanelli.



He worked as a welder at E.W. Bliss Company and he an his wife owned and operated a greenhouse and floral shop in Lisbon for many years.



He was a member of St. George Catholic Church and the former Junior Order.



Survivors include two sons: James Campanelli of Salem and Lee (Mary) Campanelli of Columbus; a brother Robert Campanell of Wooster; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.



He was preceded in death in 2003 by his wife, the former Anna Jane Freeman, whom he married in 1947. Also deceased are a brother Paul Campanelli and a sister Pearl Koenriech.



A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 30, 2010 at St. George Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Edwards officiating
