Margaret Barton Williams, 96, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025. She was born on

December 2, 1928 in Youngstown. Margaret spent her childhood in Campbell raised by her grandparents. She later became the adopted daughter of the late Brice and Katherine (Lisko) Barton of Lisbon,where she was a resident during her junior and senior high school years. Margaret graduated from David Anderson High School in 1947.She married Kenneth Robert Williams on May 21, 1950 at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church. Thecouple celebrated 75 years of marriage with friends and family in May 2025. To honor their Diamond Wedding Anniversary, Mayor Peter Wilson proclaimed May 21, 2025 “Ken and Margaret Day” in the Village of Lisbon.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Kenneth. They were blessed with 4 children (spouses): Judith (Williams) Griffith, Thomas (Janet Githens), Richard (Christine Davner), and Gerald (Lori Miller).

She enjoyed so many milestones and family events such as sporting activities, musicals, and plays with her 18 grandchildren: Beth (Dean) Rapp, William Miller, Jr. (deceased), Amanda (Kelan) Craig, Joshua Griffith, Jennifer (Federico) Pintaluba, Megan (Joseph Walsh) Williams, Craig (Kylie) Williams, Justina (Kevin) Ortiz, Zachary Williams, Jake Williams, and Mae (Johnny) Hall. Margaret was blessed with 8 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.

Margaret was preceded in death by her two brothers: John Barton, Buena Park CA and Paul Barton,Lisbon.

Margaret had a career as a bank teller and bookkeeper. She retired from the Columbiana County Office on Aging. She also volunteered for community service and supported the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church for more than 70 years and served in the Women’s Association, where she was named Woman of the Year and supported the community dinners. She was instrumental in starting the Christmas Angel Tree donation program for families in need.Before moving to Salem in 2022 for assisted living, Ken and Margaret lived on Sunset Drive in Lisbon and traveled to Florida for several decades. They enjoyed their final winter home at Riverwoods in Estero FL.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Senior Living in Salem and Patriot Hospice for their dedicated care of Margaret.

Arrangements are being handled by the Weber Funeral Home in Lisbon. A memorial service,

officiated by niece Kathy Barton, will be held at the Weber Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2025 with family visitation at 1pm and service at 2pm. Margaret will be laid to rest at Lisbon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church (newlisbonpc.com) or the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org).
