Lisbon -Larry R. Mullins, 56, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his home following a lengthy illness.
Born March 31, 1956 in Rochester, PA, he was a son of the late Sidney O. and Mary E. (Pflug) Mullins.
He had worked as a chef and later as a case manager for Comprehensive Behavioral Health
Larry was a very gentile person. He always went above and beyond for anyone and was a righter of wrongs. Importantly, he could find empowering qualities in people. He was a member of the first graduating class of Blackhawk High School and was a graduate of the Ohio Valley College of Business and Kent State University earning two associate degrees.
Survivors include his wife, Heather Houlette-Mullins; son Larry (Dr. Jennifer) Mullins of San Diego, CA; step-sons Collin and Darrin Houlette of Lisbon,; sister Wanda Jonas of West Mayfield, PA; and 6 brothers: Wilbert of Chicago, Sidney of North Carolina, Ronnie of Crannberry, PA, David of North Carolina, Paris of Texas, and Vollie of Baldwin, PA; 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Evelyn Mullins and more than 100 nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM Friday< April 5, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church.
Contributions to a memorial fund may be made at the service.
Arrangements were handled by the Weber Funeral Home.
