Lisbon -Kenneth Adam Gardner, 77, passed peacefully at his home with his wife at his side Friday evening, February 25, 2011.
Born November 25, 1933 in Lowellville, he was a son of the late John and Clara (Cessna) Gardner.
He retired from Conrail in 1998 where he worked as a machinist for 25 years.
A Navy Veteran of the Korean War, he served in the ZP-2 Blimp Squadron at Brunswick, GA. He was a member of F.O.E. Aerie 2216 and was a past member of VFW Post 4111.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley J. (Mitchell) Gardner whom he married May 29, 1982; sister Arlene (Glenn) Dinger of Austintown; step-children Robert D. (Bonnie) Narehood, Jr. of Kirtland, Randy J. Narehood of Salem, and Ronda J. Narehood of East Palestine; and 3 step-grandchildren: Robert R., Ethan M., and Chyanne H. Narehood.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Judy Ann Gardner; 2 brothers, Russell Phillips and Donald Gardner; and a sister Eleanor Arner.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. David Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Woodsdale Cemetery. Calling hours will be observed from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
