Kaye Louise Barnard, 72, of Prattville, AL and formerly of Leetonia, died Friday, July 18, 2014 at Prattville Health and Rehabilitation.
Kaye was born September 1, 1941 in Leetonia, a daughter of the late Wilson B. and Phyllis J. (Ware) Corna.
She operated her own salon as a young woman and later worked as a nurse at the Salem City Hospital.
A member of the Columbiana Baptist Church, she served in both their music ministry and prison ministry.  She enjoyed crafting including crotchet, knitting, and cross-stitch.  She and her late husband traveled extensively in their motorhome.
Surviving are her sisters Sue Cole of Columbiana, Linda Kyser of Prattville, AL, and Diana Smith of Salem;  3 step-daughters and 2 step-sons, 8 nieces and nephews, 12 great-nieces and nephews, and a great-great-nephew.
Her husband Cecil Barnard, whom she married June 29, 1974 died in 1985. She was preceded in death by a nephew as well.
There will be a celebration of Life service at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Columbiana Baptist Church with her nephew Pastor Matthew Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
