Lisbon -Jerry F. Crislip, 73, of Lisbon, died at 11:32 AM Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his home following a long illness.
Mr. Crislip was born May 5, 1940 in Heaters, WV, a son of the late William R. and Beulah (Squires) Crislip. He graduated from Sutton High School in 1958 and came to this area in 1960.
He worked as a welder for Patterson Industries from 1961 to 1975 and served in the Army from 1963 to 1965. He was a welding instructor for East Liverpool High School from 1975 to 1995.
Jerry was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to work on cars in his younger days. He spent much time competing in trap shoots, was a member of Lisbon Eagles, American Legion in Glenmoore, and VFW Post 4111 in Lisbon.
His family will remember him as an avid fan of Westerns and for inventing things. He could often be found in the garage tinkering or creating metal art. One of his favorite things to do, though, was to have fish fries with his friends.
