James Ira May

Lisbon –           James I. May,84, died at home surrounded by his family Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Born August 20, 1939 in Elkton, he was a son of the late Clarence F. and Amelia B. (Anderson) May.

Jim worked at Columbiana Foundry and retired from Summitville Tile after nearly forty years.

He loved to help people where he could.

He is survived by his children and their spouses: James (Jamie) & Becky May, Missy & Kenny Hall, Chrissy & Jim Coulter, and Robin & Steve Kidder. There are 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He leaves his siblings: Charles “Bob” May, Clarence (Babe) May, Lillie Moats, Fred (Nancy) May, and Dewey (Barb) May.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (Ross) May and by his siblings: Ann Hawkins, Russell Gallo, and William (Bill) May.

Calling hours will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home. The funeral officiated by his brother, Fred May, will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery.
