Lisbon -James Alan Hayes, 54, passed away following a lengthy illness at 12:33 AM Monday, June 27, 2011 at Salem Community Hospital.
Born April 2, 1957 in Steubenville, he was a son of the late Arlene Gooch and Loren Hayes.
He drove truck for several years and worked as a carrier for the Morning Journal.
Survivors include his wife Karen (Griffiths) Hayes; 3 children: James A. (Lisa) Hayes, Jr. of California, Paul M. (Michelle) Hayes of Salem, and Shannon (Steven) Richards of Lisbon; brothers Randy (Doris) Hayes and David W. (Karen) Hayes both of Lisbon, Donnie (Debbie) Hayes of Dennison, and Denny (Jackie) Hayes of Lisbon; and 6 grandchildren.
A brother, Loren Butch Hayes, Jr. is deceased.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating.
