Elwin A. (Skip) Hawk, 67, passed away unexpectedly Sunday Morning at his home.
Skip was born January 18, 1950 in East Rochester, a son of the late Elwin A. and Martha L. (Board) Hawk.
He worked as a machinist at Crane Deming for many years and as a police officer in Hanoverton at one time.
He had been very active in the Salem Little Quakers little league football and enjoyed caring for the animals on his farm. He loved his family and will be remembered for his witty sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife Sheila (Wherry) Hawk whom he married July 18, 1971, his sons Elwin “Chip” (Julie) Hawk of South Carolina and Shawn (Maeggan) Hawk of Lisbon, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Kerry Lynn Hawk.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Tina Gallaher officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours are 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
