Lisbon- Carol Ann Smith, 80, died at her home Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
Born July 8, 1945 in Salem, she was a daughter of the late Harold N. and Volet (Mellinger) Smith.
Carol owned and operated Smith’s Boarding Home in Lisbon for 26 years before retiring and moving to Las Vegas for 17 years where she worked in the dining room at the Star Dust Casino.
A member of the First United Methodist Church, she enjoyed traveling in her motor home all over the country. She was a phenomenal cook and a devoted grandmother.
Carol leaves three children: James (Beverly) Fortune, Tammy Glenn, and Stevie (Amy) Stephens; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, her companion Bud Byers as well as her sisters: Rita Brady, Debbie Smith, Joyce Smith, Brenda Hogue, Holly Gorby, Lena Ott, and Cindy Cottle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Smith, Sr., in 2016 and by her siblings Linda Baker, Karen Nennichka, and Mike Spencer.
The funeral officiated by Pastor Patrick Smith will be at 11 AM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
