Lisbon -Betty Jane Dorrance, 93, died at 10:43 AM Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Vista Center.
Born September 25, 1918 in Lisbon, she was the daughter of the late Sprague and Bertha Mae (McGaffick) Huffman.
She was a homemaker who also worked as a Gray Lady for the Red Cross at Salem Hospital. In addition, she worked as an outreach worker for the Columbiana County Mental Health Center through the Senior Aids.
She was a member of New Lisbon Presbyterian Church and its Women's Association. She was active in Church Women United and the Missionary Society of the Church and was a 1936 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School.
Survivors include her children Barbara (Nick) Borcich of Garden Grove, CA and Jeff (Carol) Dorrance of Lisbon; granddaughters Melissa (Rick) Matus and April (Ray) McShane both of Pittsburgh and a great-grandson Caden McShane.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Dorrance in 1973. Also deceased are her sister Ruth Kelly and brother Edward Huffman.
A private family service will be held at Lisbon Cemetery at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Rev. Mark Wilds officiating.
