Stephany McVay Obituary

Lisbon - Stephany Dawn McVay, 45, died Friday, April 13 in the emergency department at East Liverpool City Hospital following an auto accident. 

Born September 30, 1972 in Salem, she was the daughter of Marilyn L. (Hazel) Trares and the late James Allan Chuey, Sr. 

She had worked as a cosmetologist at Signature Styles in Calcutta. 

A graduate of Southern Local High School and the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, she loved to crochet and care for her animals. 

In addition to her mother, Marilyn Trares and step-father Ray of Lisbon, she is survived by her husband Shane E. McVay and her children Dylan W. McDevitt and Alexis M. McDevitt both of East Palestine, and step-son Kyle C. McVay of Salineville as well as her brothers James A. Chuey, Jr. of Lisbon and Shane A. Chuey of Leetonia. There are many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Friday at the Weber Funeral Home with a memorial service officiated by Allan Foster from the Lisbon Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to begin at 7:00 PM. 

At Stephany’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home to defray expenses.
