Kristina (Null) Catlett

Kristina Kaye Catlett, 54, of Lisbon, Ohio, passed away at the Vista Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, October 29, 2017, from her battle with cancer.

She was born in Salem, Ohio on August 2, 1963 to Sondra and Richard “Smoke” Null. As a young girl she loved trail riding and going to visit friends on her pony. Her family and friends were very important to her, and her smile reminded those around her, of her unconditional love.

In 1981, she met Lenny Catlett and immediately fell in love.  They married one year later at the Church of Christ in Lisbon, Ohio. Their son Rick was born in Ohio in 1984. They moved to Florida shortly after, where Kristina was pregnant with their second child, Stacey. A few years later they moved back to Lisbon, where Kristina and Lenny settled as a family.

Kristina was dedicated to her education and to the education of others. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown State University in Education in 2001 and her Masters from Walden University in 2011.

Kristina had a strong passion for children. She taught elementary classes in Sebring, Ohio where she was devoted to her students and their excellence.  In the past few months, some of her students have visited with her and expressed their love and appreciation of Kristina’s extra efforts to teach them the skills they needed to succeed. 

Kristina was blessed with some of her Lisbon High School and Sebring friends, who came together as her “Team Warriors.”  They made her last days filled joy, love, and peace.

Kristina is survived by her husband, Lenny Catlett of Lisbon, OH; her daughter Stacy Catlett of Lisbon, OH; her son Rick Catlett (wife Aggie, grandson Damien) of Poland, OH; her father Richard “Smoke” Null (stepmother Jennifer Null) of Lisbon, OH; her sister Theresa Null Fuller (husband Jim Fuller) of Black Mountain, NC; her nephew Scott Fuller of Charlotte, NC, and her niece Lindsey Fuller of New York, NY. Kristina was predeceased by her mother Sondra Null.

Kristina has asked there be no memorial services.
